Ginger beer fail
Tonight I decided to get my camera out and take a few shots of my ginger beer that I have been slowly drinking. I really wanted to take shots of the brew that I did last night (read: Coffee Stout) but I couldn’t find my camera.
The photos of the ginger beer (and other equipment) can be found in the new Home Brewing section in my gallery. I will try and post more shots of the coffee stout as it unfolds.
Dig the pics. Once i’m situated i’d really like to do some brewing of my own. Good luck with the Coffee Stout!
Yeah I can’t wait for the Coffee Porter (stout, porter, same thing…technically it’s a porter). I haven’t added the coffee in yet…that will come when I move the beer into the secondary fermenter. I still haven’t decided on what coffee to go with and I may do a cold brew of coffee instead of a hot brew (lessens the coffee bitterness I guess).
It doesn’t take a whole lot of equipment to brew beer and supplies (per brew) will run you about $30 – 50….but you get about 2 cases out of that. All you REALLY need is a pot and a 5gal food grade bucket with an airlock..and bottling stuff (bottles and a capper).
You should check out Joel’s site (http://www.mainebrews.com/). He just switched to full grain brewing (I’m jealous) which, according to him, has been working out pretty well for him.
